Ayana

An iPhone application that helps a person understand themselves, and understand the people they are close to. In private development at 16560679 Canada Inc. Not yet released.

What it does

You give Ayana a birth date, a birth time, and a birth place. From that it builds one reading of you, written as prose rather than as scores, percentages, or a list of traits. The reading is free and it is not cut short to sell you the rest of it.

One reading, turned to three views:

  • Love and relationships. Closeness, attraction, boundaries, conflict, trust, and repair.
  • Prosperity. Work, contribution, money, and value, without predicting wealth or ranking how productive anyone is.
  • Purpose. Direction and meaning, without handing anybody a destiny.

Two to four people can read together. A shared reading is about those specific people rather than about types: where they meet easily, where they are likely to grate on each other, and what each of them can do about it. It stops at four, because past that the writing gets general and stops being worth reading.

Where the material comes from

Ayana reads a birth chart through two related systems, Human Design and Gene Keys. They share the same underlying calculation, so they are not two independent sources that confirm one another, and Ayana never presents agreement between them as proof.

They divide differently. Human Design supplies structure: what in a person is consistent, what is receptive, and how they tend to decide. Gene Keys supplies movement: how the same theme contracts under fear and opens up when it does not. Ayana keeps both, and keeps the vocabulary of both out of the writing. A reading that needs a glossary has failed.

What it is not

These are limits on the product rather than disclaimers added at the end. A feature that crosses one gets cut.

  • It is not therapy and makes no clinical claim. It does not diagnose or treat anything.
  • It is not a compatibility score. There is no number for whether two people should be together.
  • It does not predict events, earnings, or whether a relationship lasts.
  • It is not for hiring, screening, or evaluating employees. It describes what a role may cost a person, never whether they are capable of it.
  • It is not an authority. When a reading and a person's own experience disagree, the person is right.

Status

Ayana runs today as an internal prototype and is being read by a small number of people who are giving hard feedback on it. Nothing is on the App Store. A limited beta is planned, on invitation only.

There is no release date, and there is no mailing list yet. When there is something worth showing, it will be posted on this site. If you want to be told, write to isaac@lonfeng.com and your address will be kept for that and nothing else.

Ayana is the working name. It may change before release.

Data and privacy

A birth time and place is sensitive, and a reading of someone is more sensitive still. Neither is sold, rented, or used to target advertising. Readings of other people require their agreement. Anything held can be deleted on request, properly rather than by hiding it. The full terms are in the privacy policy.
