Ayana

Ayana is an iPhone application that helps a person understand themselves, and understand the people they are close to. It is not a quiz and not a personality test. From a birth date, time, and place it assembles one long reading written in ordinary language, then lets the reader turn that reading to three different views: love and relationships, work and prosperity, and purpose.

Two, three, or four people can also read together. A shared reading is about those particular people rather than about categories they fall into: what each one is like to be close to, and where the friction between them is likely to come from.

The underlying material is Human Design and Gene Keys. Ayana treats them as two ways of reading one birth chart: the first supplies structure and mechanics, the second supplies the movement from fear to heart. Neither is allowed to speak for the other, and neither predicts events.

More about Ayana, including what it deliberately does not do.

How the work is judged

A reading is only good if someone recognises themselves in it

Not "that sounds nice", but a specific sentence a stranger can point at and say that is me, and here is the thing I do that proves it. Vague writing that flatters everybody is the failure mode, and most of the editing effort goes into hunting it down.

What the writing is allowed to say

The writing describes how a person tends to work and what it costs them, never how good they are or what they are capable of. It is meant to loosen judgement rather than harden an identity, and to hand a decision back to the reader instead of making it for them.

Nothing about a person is sold

Birth details and readings are not sold, rented, or used to target advertising. Anyone can ask for their data to be deleted, and it is deleted. See the privacy policy.
